Real Plan - Smart planner, perfect for planning learning, reading, projects, self development plans

Introduction

How often do you find that you started something too late or maybe something too complex? You did not prepare in time for the exam or project you were working on turned obsolete before you was able to finish it? This application will help you to create realistic plans. It does not matter whether it is a learning plan or any type of project. It tracks your progress and based on this data it predicts when your tasks can be completed. It analyzes how much time you spent on executing tasks of given categories on different days of week and how well you perform completing the tasks. Sophisticated planning algorithm uses this analysis to constantly tell you predicted completion date for your plans.

Adding tasks

To add a task just click on a "plus" button, on the main screen.

Tasks can be composed of sub-tasks. Just click on a task on the dashboard, you will then see a task details screen where you can click on the "add subtask" button.

When adding a task please make sure to specify how long you think, it will take to complete it. Do not worry if you find it hard to guess accurate number of hours required to spend. You will get better at estimating this over time.

For start, you can have just one category for all tasks. Later you may find that for some groups of tasks you want separate analysis. You will be able to assign a task to a different category at any time.

Tracking your progress

On the task details screen you should log time, you have spent on each task.

You should also update information how much more time you need to complete the task. Sometimes tasks turn out to be easier or harder to complete as you originally estimated.

Charts

Take a look how you have performed completing your plans. Check the charts to see how much effort you have invested during previous days, weeks and months.

Charts display spent time in clock hours (red) and effective hours (blue). An effective hour is a measurement of how productive you were while spending given time on a task.

On the next charts you can check how well you performed on each day of week during the last two weeks.
